Overview:The Planning Manager reports to the Sr Manager of Supply Chain Planning and is a key leadership role at the Peterborough site and for the broader Quaker S&D business. The Planning Manager is responsible for overall Quaker service including managing the team of supply chain planners to plan and maintain Quaker Canada service over 98.5% including ordering material and ingredient along with building and maintaining the Peterborough production schedule. The Planners also coordinate production for Canada at other Quaker US facilities and Contract Manufacturing locations across North America. The planner’s ensure adherence to the day-to-day operations while the Planning Manager is responsible for removing barriers, continuous improvement and ensuring personal team development and performance within the planning team.What you can expect from us:

Responsibilities:
  • Through the team, achieve both team and Supply Chain key performance indices (KPIs) – Service, Schedule attainment, Schedule adherence, DOH, Wrhs life, On time material ordering.
  • Short term planning – day to day ordering and schedule execution.
  • Mid- and long-term planning – Own S&OP to close gaps and communication support needed in advance.
  • Collaborate across supply chain to close gaps on service including, Business Units, Demand Planning and TCP.
  • Support Quaker Supply Chain and business management in developing execution strategies, which includes translation of the business vision and strategies to your team.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of Logility & MFGPro to ensure SME (Subject Matter Expertise) is built and utilized across the department and broader Supply Chain.
  • Through effective communication, education, and training, allow your team to achieve their potential. Provide an effective and consistent method of constructive feedback by leveraging one with one meeting, recurring team meetings, and mid-year reviews.
  • Assist in the optimization and analysis of ad-hoc scenarios used to build business case for cost-saving opportunities and sourcing strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Able to work core Supply Chain hours.
  • Able to travel, occasionally, as required.
  • Strong supply chain and people management background.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, influence management skills, and demonstrated ability to work and participate effectively in a team environment.
  • High comfort level working in Supply Planning systems, tools, troubleshooting issues and the ability to aid in master data set up.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious, able to work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including problem analysis and resolution.
  • University or College degree required (ideally degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or Operations).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in planning, data systems, or related field.
