- Be accountable for leadership, technical support and direction to the NTT team members as well as departmental objectives and mandates.
- Providing coaching and guidance.
- Responsible for ensuring individuals are proficient on the software programs, insurance system (EPIC), workflows and processes.
- Responsible for hiring, training, performance appraisals and supervision of staff to ensure that all administrative functions for their unit are handled in conjunction with branch requests.
- Work with other NTT managers and departments to offer suggestions for training or coaching as it relates to processing of the business for Personal and/or Commercial Insurance.
- Ensuring performance of the NTT team by auditing their work regularly, reviewing and coaching on performance metrics and continual monitoring of departmental mandates and required service levels are met. Ensure the team understands the needs of their customers (front-line PL/CL associates)
- Solving problems and answering questions from Brokers, Managers, Directors, insurers or internal customers regarding workflow questions.
- Work with National Manager or Director on special projects, as needed.
- Minimum education level: High School
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years of insurance experience (transacting and managerial experience is preferred)
- Technical knowledge: Accounting skills, Computer Skills Excel, Word, Outlook. EPIC (BMS) familiarity an asset
- High degree of professionalism, diplomacy and integrity
- Excellent customer service skills and adept in conflict resolution
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain a successful team and partnerships
