
Project Manager - Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS)

- Ensure Construction is in full compliance with the Project Agreement, including matters relating to quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance, such as Project’s ECO Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and all applicable legislation.
- Manage the execution of the work package including detailed design, construction, T&C, operation and the handover process.
- Prepare construction planning for the OCS works including all equipment, material, site
- teams and supervision.
- Manage the construction work through field engineer(s).
- Manage the overall budget for the project’s OCS work program including procurement, materials, equipment, labour, etc.
- Provide the progress data needed to perform a timely monthly invoicing to the City.
- Coordinate with the project’s scheduling team and the managers of interfacing scopes to
- ensure the overall OCS program is correctly included in the overall project schedule.
- Lead the development and monitoring of detailed working schedules by the OCS
- construction team.
- Ensure conformance of OCS activities with the contract and quality requirements.
- Follow-up progress and report on the Key Performance Indicators.
- Manage risks and opportunities linked to the OCS scope.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, with a preference for electrical, civil or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience with evidence of leadership on at least 2 large projects for OCS work design and construction.
- Technical and operational knowledge of OCS systems.
- Experience in organizing site construction forces involving LRT or Tramway OCS.
- Experienced in the specification of OCS components and interface with suppliers.
- Project management experience including development of construction plans, schedules and
- interface on a large multidiscipline team.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills.
- Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred.
- Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions.
