- Coordinating all repairs to support vehicles and equipment ensuring cost-effectiveness of repairs.
- Maintaining all pertinent data related to client group activities on support vehicles and equipment.
- Interpreting the vehicle functional requirements of the client offices in order to determine their rolling stock needs in preparation for the purchase of the vehicles.
- Ensuring that legislated vehicle/equipment inspections are conducted.
- Commissioning and de-commissioning of non-revenue vehicles.
- Coordinating the outfitting of aftermarket components as required.
- Updating vehicle history files.
- Monitoring monthly budget reports for actual versus planned expenditures, as well as gathering and assimilating data for capital projects.
- Administering the Support Fleet Fuel Card program.
- Level of reading, writing and learning skills normally attained through completion of high school, plus additional courses in automotive mechanical theory.
- Procurement experience providing a sound understanding of procurement law and tender document development.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in an automotive service environment involving warranty claims processing, parts handling and administering repair/preventative maintenance programs, including:
- Ability to enter source data quickly and accurately into an asset management application
- Good working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications.
- Above average organizational and analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must have a valid Ontario Class “G” driver's licence and meet corporate standard for a good driving record.
- Must be able to obtain GO Transit Operator's Permit.
- Must successfully complete any other training required by corporate policy.
- Ability to obtain job related certifications as required.
