- Configure, deploy, and maintain multi-site networking across global sites.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain network equipment and connectivity such as firewalls, Switches/Routers, VPN, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Ensuring compliance through network device lifecycles, hardware refresh, and firmware updates.
- Configuring networking with redundancy, High Availability, and failover methodologies.
- Working with vendors to implement, troubleshoot, and support network devices including switches, routers, access points, VOIP phones and others.
- Investigate and remediate network performance issues.
- Manage testing, debugging, analyze performance, and document technology components.
- Working with the security team to proactively mitigate any security threats and / or network attacks.
- Ensuring network performance is monitored for bottlenecks, connectivity, capacity, and utilization.
- Making sure after-hours maintenance windows are properly coordinated to all stakeholders.
- Provide after-hours support if required.
- All other duties as assigned
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years experience providing enterprise / large network support and implementation.
- Extensive experience with network and routing protocols such as VRFs, NAT, OSPF, BGP, IPsec, L2 WAN, QoS, VLANs, multicast, private and public addressing.
- Strong experience with networking systems: LAN, switches, routers, protocols, firewalls, VPN, wireless networks, security appliances, and network access security.
- Experience with virtual networking technologies: firewalls, VRTR, vswitch
- Experience with WAN technologies such as VPLS, VXLAN, VPN, site-to-site networking.
- Experiencing working with Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba switches and Aruba wireless, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, and Ubiquiti Wireless.
- Experience administrating and supporting a Microsoft Windows environment, VMWare, Network/Server administration and application support.
- Experience with network architecture and design.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be familiar with other IT infrastructure technologies such as large-scale high-performance storage systems, databases, telephony & cloud computing.
- Ability to multitask as part of a dynamic services team.
- Experience with Line-of-Site networking, SATCOM, wireless bridging an asset.
- Cisco certifications an asset, e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE.
- Microsoft certifications an asset.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to obtain Canadian Government Security Clearances.
