Sales responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain sales territory.
- Establish, meet, and review sales and product budgets, actual sales results and strategic plans.
- Follow guidelines established by the Branch Manager especially in the following areas:
(b) Territory management
(c) Personal and professional conduct
(d) Employee relations
(e) Attendance and punctuality
(f) Company Policies and Procedures
(g) Corporate Quality Assurance Program
- Submit qualified market feedback to Branch Manager.
- Co-ordinate, review, and follow-up on sales activity with Outside Sales Representative.
- Source non-stock material through Supplier Reference Guide (intranet) and guidelines as set out by the Branch Manager.
- Co-ordinate and report projects, over preset limit, to the Branch Manager.
- Submit feedback to Purchasing Department on lost sales due to no stock, customer changes that could affect min/max levels, large orders that take stock below min. etc.
- Complete, submit and follow-up on quotations within guidelines.
- Follow all procedures as related to sales and customer service.
- Work within a team atmosphere with all ECS employees.
- Develop, review, and document new business opportunities (accounts and products) and coordinate action with Branch Manager.
- Assist Branch Manager with submissions to the company Newsletter.
- Assist with, and participate in, physical count of company inventories.
- Previous sales management experience
- 2-4 years experience working in the electrical industry
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills and professional phone manners
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on clear communication and active listening.
- Proven ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Working knowledge of various technology and software programs, including MS Office.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving sales targets and quotas.
