Vancouver - OnsitePurpose of Role: The Test Group Manager will be a key member of the Research and Development department, responsible for Quality Assurance and Control, and ensuring that all new products and features meet defined requirements and quality standards. This role involves leading a team of QA specialists, defining testing processes and plans, establishing reporting structures, tracking issues through to resolution, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders across the organization. The QA/QC Manager will collaborate closely with the engineering team throughout the product development lifecycle and work with the Global Support team to deliver training on new releases and address post-release needs.

- Conduct manual and automated testing to identify, execute, and report software and system defects, ensuring all releases meet quality standards and user requirements.
- Plan, develop, and maintain in-house test automation tools and test cases for both new and existing software and hardware features, while managing the full lifecycle of issue tracking and resolution, including stakeholder communication and debugging support.
- Lead team management activities by assigning tasks, providing resources, and aligning team efforts with individual, departmental, and company goals.
- Create and maintain procedures for embedded software installation and support, while assisting cross-functional teams (R&D, support, production, business) in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recommending design improvements.
- Collaborate with hardware teams and Linux administrators to maintain the operating system in production systems, ensuring smooth integration and performance.

- Over 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles with proven team management capabilities, supported by a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred - Holds certifications such as ISTQB (CTFL), CSTE, or equivalent, with strong familiarity in Agile, Scrum, and other project management methodologies.
- Proficient in scripting with Python, C++, or JavaScript; familiar with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, and Git, and experienced in automated testing and working with Linux systems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, test data analysis, trend identification, and generating quality metrics and reports to support continuous improvement.
- Hands-on experience with high-tech systems involving hardware-software integration, embedded and cloud software, APIs, and industrial solutions.
- Quick to learn and apply new technologies, growth-driven, results-oriented, and open to 10% international travel to mine sites.
