Your Opportunity at SECURE:SECURE is seeking an experienced, safety minded equipment operator. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating rock trucks and loaders.This position is based out of Edmonton Alberta The Team:This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member of the site team. Work Environment:This is a full time permanent role and a based in the yard, working Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm with rotating Saturdays A Day in The Life:
  • Operate equipment while adhering to all safe work practices and procedures
  • Follow Secures’ operating standards and procedures
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Complete walk-arounds, safety checks and ensure equipment is running properly
  • Secure special attachments to equipment
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication when required
  • Minor repairs to equipment. Report any necessary reports to the supervisor
  • Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • One or more years experience operating equipment in industries such as civil earth works, pipelines, or Oil & Gas
  • 2 years equipment operation experience
  • A minimum of 5,000 hours in Heavy Equipment operations
  • Drug, Alcohol & Fitness Testing
  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Must have steel toe work boots; other personal safety gear is an asset
  • Ability to Work variable shifts & hours
  • Work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation
  • Must be physically fit, heavy labour is required
