We provide consulting services ranging from operational performance improvement to the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an SAP Presales Solutions Architect to join our growing SAP team and Talan's Consulting practice of over 6000 professionals, bringing advanced SAP Functional knowledge, leadership acumen and deep expertise in the SAP ecosystem.You will be playing a strategic role in advising sales teams on SAP solutions, building relationships as a trusted advisor with clients, helping develop winning sales strategies, and playing a critical role in scoping, solution design, planning and defining roadmaps on new opportunities. You will work closely with the sales teams on new customer acquisition and business growth. Your experience and deep knowledge of SAP solutions will be put to work to help our customers succeed and expand Talan Americas' SAP practice.Ontario based role covering the wider Canadian and US Market, skills needed are:
  • Deal support: In a Presales advisory capacity providing Deal support to the Sales team throughout the sales cycle; qualify new opportunities, perform assessments, understand and validate customer needs and help the customer align on overall technology requirements, approach, roadmap & strategy.
  • SAP Expertise: Lend your in-depth knowledge of the SAP portfolio, including SAP S/4HANA, Cloud other relevant SAP solutions, viz. RISE (Public, Private) etc. on sales pursuits and establish with clients, a positive relationship of a trusted, go-to expert advisor.
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Work closely with sales teams to lead discovery meetings, understand specific customer needs, elicit business requirements, understand goals and pain points, articulate & propose best-fit solutions and define roadmaps to help Businesses reach their goals.
  • Solutioning Expertise : Strong prior work experience in multiple SAP Logistics and Supply Chain modules - Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse Management, Plant Maintenance, Production etc. having integration knowledge with other modules. Experience with Business transformations in S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, RISE with SAP, other SAP Cloud solutions and SAP Intelligent Enterprise portfolio is a plus. Provide the functional expertise needed for business process analysis to determine the solution components that best match the customer's needs.
  • Presentation & Product Demonstrations: Organizing & leading teams, developing and delivering impactful presentations and in-depth, tailored demonstrations to showcase and illustrate the value of SAP solutions to potential customers that address their needs and business challenges
  • Opportunity management: Possess excellent verbal & written communication skills. Preparing responses to inquiries, quotations, bids and proposals. Collaborating and leading opportunities through the sales cycle, co-ordinating with partners, internal stakeholders & Management for validating estimations, building level of effort, pricing, deal-structuring, managing risk & responsibilities, timelines, conducting joint opportunity reviews, securing approvals, preparing contracts & client engagement documents etc.
  • Sales Strategy & Demand Generation: Contribute to the development of sales strategies and support sales teams in identifying opportunities that can add value to the customer solution in new and existing accounts
  • Technology watch: Staying up-to-date on SAP Technology, Products, Solutions, new releases, undertaking certifications and maintaining credentials, participating in mentoring & knowledge sharing activties
QualificationsTo be a successful SAP Presales Solution Architect at Talan, you need:
  • At least 12 years of experience in SAP ERP software implementations an SAP ERP Functional consultant, or 5+ years working in an SAP ERP Presales role
  • Strong presentation, hands-on product demonstration skills with ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with clients and internal teams
  • SAP certifications are valued
  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities simultaneously;
  • Collaboratively and effectively working with the sales team;
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Understanding of business objectives and needs in supply chain, manufacturing, services and accounting;
  • Astute ability to explain technical concepts and business processes;
  • Ability to quickly build trust with clients in various business domains;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English (proficiency in French is a bonus) to communicate with clients across Canada and the US
