We are looking for a Marketing Associate to support event and tradeshow coordination, project management, and marketing administration. Knowledge of welding is not required, but an affinity for modern marketing practices, event management, project management and business administration is a must.Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Administration - Delivers on administrative, logistical and coordination tasks for all Canadian events and tradeshows.
- Project Coordination – assists in managing project schedules, tasks, and resources, ensuring projects stay on task.
- Documentation – maintain project documentation, records and reports, ensuring all project-related information is organized and accessible.
- Communication – Effective communication skills required for interaction with project teams, customers, vendors and stakeholders.
- Financial Management – Budget and expense records.
- Risk Management – Assist in identifying and mitigating risks that could impact success of projects. Ensuring deadlines are met within a timely manner.
- Reports to National Marketing Manager.
- 1-2 years’ experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or Project Management role
- Degree, diploma/certificate in a Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management or comparable discipline is required.
- Proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of desktop publishing software.
- Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with aggressive and competing timelines.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and with teams in a matrix organization.
- Understanding of welding industry, welding markets and distribution a plus.
- Understanding and/or experience of PMP software and projects a plus.
