NVA Canada is looking for a Procurement Category Specialist to join our Canadian Support Centre team based in Oakville, ON.The Procurement Category Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing product/service categories to drive sales and profitability. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams such as Vendors/Business Partners, Marketing, Sales, Finance and US teams.This position is a 13-month term employment contract.What You'll Be Doing:· Improving growth and profitabilityo Generate and analyze reports to determine savings and opportunities for the various categories.o Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends (Pricing)o Support in the development of long-term sustainable strategies for product categorieso Assist with the implementation and execution of strategic pricing and internal procurement processes within Canadao Support with the RFQ process, negotiations and provide recommendations· Partnering for successo Foster trusting relationships with vendors to achieve growth and profitabilityo Work cross functionally with Sales, Finance, and Vendors to support with Rebates tracking and other savings opportunitieso Respond to all internal inquiries and assist business stakeholders needs in gathering their requirements (Retriever system)o Work cross functionally with Finance to report and track COGS· Seeking continuous improvement:o Supporting on the negotiation and execution of renewals and new Contractual Agreementso Work with US and other internal stakeholders to support with automation and process efficiencieso Support with Oracleo Keeping abreast of industry and market trends and best practicesWhat You'll Bring to NVA Canada:· 3 to 5 years of experience in Category Management/Procurement· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with business partners (vendors) and internal departments· Proficient with MS Office and strong Excel skills (VLookup/Pivot Tables/Formulas)· Demonstrated analytical skills· Bachelor of Commerce Degree· SCMP designation is an asset· Oracle and Quickbase experience not a must but will be ideal· Power Bi and SQL knowledgeYou'll Love This Role if You Have:· Enthusiasm, positivity, flexibility, and creativity· Career ambition for gaining hands on experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment· Ability to work independently, a self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” methodical approach to daily workAt NVA Canada diversity and inclusion are an important part of our everyday reality.At NVA Canada, we want to make sure your experience connecting with us is seamless and straightforward.
