Chrono continues to expand, solidifying its position as a leader in the air charter industry in Québec and Canada.Role and ContextThe Flight Dispatcher is responsible for the planning, monitoring, and optimization of flights to ensure their safety, efficiency, and compliance with current regulations. They work closely with flight crews, maintenance services, and aviation authorities to coordinate flight operations, especially for international flights involving specific regulatory, customs, and air route planning requirements.Main Responsibilities
- Analyze environmental conditions to plan optimal and safe routes;
- Evaluate fuel requirements, loads, and technical constraints based on the aircraft type and planned flight;
- Authorize flights in coordination with the captain;
- Provide flight crews with all necessary takeoff information;
- Co-sign flight authorizations and update flight plans;
- Delay or cancel departures if conditions are not safe;
- Ensure continuous information flow to aircraft in flight;
- Prepare flight plans, follow-ups, and required reports;
- Respond to aircraft radio communications and provide weather, traffic, and wind data, etc.
- Valid flight dispatcher license (General exams – Transport Canada);
- Certificate or diploma in a relevant field;
- 3 to less than 5 years of flight dispatch experience;
- Criminal record check;
- Drug screening test;
- Willingness to travel occasionally;
- Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, good judgment, team spirit, and sense of responsibility;
- Working language: English or French.
