We are looking for Millwrights for multiple departments at the Iron Ore Company of Canada site in Labrador City, NL. The Millwright will ensure that maintenance activities are safely carried out to fixed plant, and associated assets, in a safe and efficient manner. The specific work schedule varies based on department assigned. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.Reporting to the Maintenace Supervisor you will be:Participating actively in company safety systems and initiativesDemonstrating a safe work record resulting from a proactive approach to safetyContributing to improvement ideas and solutions in the workplaceDiagnosing and repairing all types of rotating and conveying equipmentUsing power and hand equipment, performing varied types of rigging, often at heights which require climbing and the use of safety equipment i.e., harness, lanyard, SRL’s, man-lifts, scissor-liftsPlease note: Fly-in-fly-out arrangements are not available. Relocation assistance is provided.What you’ll bringA commitment to the safety of yourself and your teamHigh school diploma or GED equivalentValid Class 5 driver’s licenseHold an Inter-provincial Millwright certificate.
