- Act as the main resource and point of contact for product layout across the store network.
- Work on special projects as a visual merchandising expert to assess potential issues and propose new solutions.
- Actively participate in decisions related to merchandising space, store operations, suppliers, and other service groups involved in merchandising strategies.
- Develop planograms considering factors such as space utilization, sales rate, inventory levels, customer shopping ease, signage, and other special instructions.
- Maintain planograms and databases up to date in the planogram software for all stores and banners.
- Support merchandising during product layout tests (virtual or in lab).
- Visit stores, labs, or supplier facilities as needed to physically validate planogram proposals.
- Acquire product knowledge to assist in category planning and review.
- Monitor competitors and stay informed about market trends.
- Assist merchandising with product line reviews by comparing new products to the current assortment.
- Maintain planograms on the internal communication channel.
- Ensure planograms consistently comply with business rules.
- Plan/analyze how planogram changes will impact store operations and the number of stores affected.
- Maintain and manage planogram databases.
- Ensure equipment buyers are informed of planogram changes.
- Responsible for in-store product presentation.
- Indirectly responsible for return on investment and other sales-related metrics.
- Identify, organize, resolve, and escalate project issues as needed.
- Immediately address identified issues; liaise with other departments for support and contribute to project success.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Planogram Manager.
- College or university degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Over 2 years of experience in retail stores, with a focus on merchandising.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, across all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to support multiple teams.
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; adaptable to peak periods.
- Able to work in a changing environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Computer literate and proficient in space management software (e.g., Blue Yonder).
- Able to travel when required.
