- Supports and aids the construction management team in managing project activities.
- Perform administration of multi-disciplinary projects.
- Preparing tender call documents.
- Preparing construction contract documents.
- Preparing cost estimates for setting of budgets for contemplated projects, and preparing cost estimates for contemplated changes to existing projects
- Checking timelines and inventory to ensure there are no delays and interruptions in projects and operations.
- Ensure that resources are available to the construction management team including documentation, supplies, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate the project schedule, monitor deadlines, and write status reports.
- Setting up and administering building maintenance contracts and preventive maintenance programs.
- Contribute to the establishing and controlling the project budget.
- Post-secondary education in engineering or construction technology and 2 years experience with a track record of success in the administration of multi-discipline (architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, structural) construction projects.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and architectural design drawings.
- Strong analytical skills to apply toward settlement of disputes that may arise with contractors over contractual terms and obligations.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel
