- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on boats and marine equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on inboard and outboard engines
- Service propulsion systems, fuel systems, steering systems, and cooling systems
- Install and troubleshoot marine electronics and electrical components
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Perform engine tune-ups, oil changes, and system adjustments
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Work collaboratively with service advisors and other technicians
- Previous experience as a Marine Technician, Boat Mechanic, or Marine Service Technician
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience with marine engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, etc.) preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals and diagnostic tools
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for electrical and mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Marine technician certification or related training
- Experience working in a marina, boat dealership, or marine repair facility
- Experience with fiberglass repair or marine electronics is an asset
