
Bookkeeper

- Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
- Process payroll for a team of 60-70 employees while staying updated on statutory payroll regulations
- Prepare and distribute T4s and other relevant payroll documents
- Review and validate invoices for accuracy and follow up with vendors to resolve any discrepancies
- Enter bills into the accounting system and coordinate supplier payments
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements to maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare deposits and draft cheques for approval and signature
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports as needed
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring completeness and compliance
- Collaborate with management on various financial tasks and provide additional support as needed
- A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience is required
- Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll processes
- Strong skills in bank and credit card reconciliations, as well as financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel is essential
- Demonstrated ability to handle month-end and year-end closing activities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial management
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors, staff, and management
