  • Screening and recruiting new project participants
  • Assisting with organization and scheduling of study appointments
  • Obtaining informed consent from eligible participants
  • Assisting in the collection of biospecimens from patients
This position will actively ensure adherence to research protocols, procedures, reporting requirements and/or facility regulations are being followed. The Clinical Research Assistant will also be assisting with research project administrative activities.Qualifications:Required:Level of Formal Education & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in a health-related field

  • A diploma in a health-related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a research environment.
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, flexibility, initiative and independent decision-making skills.
  • Critical/analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to safeguard confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work safely in a typical office environment with frequent meetings at multiple locations throughout the organization, and to lift and carry items
Other
  • Must have satisfactory employment record
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred:
  • Experience working in a health-care environment.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience in a research-related healthcare setting.
  • Ability to speak French
