We are looking for a conscientious Delivery Driver who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver customer service excellence.As a Delivery Driver you must adhere to all safety standards relating to commercial truck driving and the handling of fruits and vegetables, monitoring the temperature and conditions to avoid damage to the product. Includes manually unloading/delivering various fresh produce items to customer locations, and completion of appropriate paperwork. You will work in a fast-paced hardworking environment, with minimal supervision and with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.SCHEDULE AVAILABLE:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: 5:00 am start time, with varying shift lengths, including weekends.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives safely and in accordance with all Federal and Provincial laws.
  • Perform daily pre-trip inspection, ensures truck is properly maintained, and reports any deficiencies or identified fleet repairs to Driver Supervisor/Transportation Supervisor.
  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
  • Collect payments and issue receipts and credit notes during deliveries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CLASS 5 Drivers
  • Clean driving abstract.
  • Knowledge of produce and distribution industry an asset
  • Sound physical condition a must as this job requires repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs.
  • Knowledge of delivery areas (Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver) an asset.
  • Must have valid work authorization in Canada.
  • As this role is onsite, you must currently reside in Victoria, BC.
