Candidates for this position must build and shape a strong team and serve as a key member of the Medical leadership team, while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.What you will doCoach, develop and lead direct reports by providing developmental and growth opportunitiesBuild and maintain exceptional employee engagement throughout the departmentOversee individualized training and development plans for all staffConduct employee engagement sessions annually, and create and execute action plans based on these sessionsResponsible for departmental compliance with company policies and corrective actionsLocates, interviews, and hires top level sales talent for Stryker Medical Sales RepresentativesSets overall regional goals and territory quotas and evaluates their performance against these goalsDevelops plans in accordance with the Senior Business Unit Director, Medical to maximize sales opportunities in the regionDevelops and recommends strategic plans with representatives to achieve greater market share/penetrationEvaluates performance and takes corrective action where appropriate with sales representatives under their supervisionPrepares monthly highlights and necessary reports to keep the Senior Management adequately informed of progressAssists in the negotiation of sales transactions and divisional agreementsCoordinates and distributes funds out of a regional budgetDevelops and motivates sales personnel to meet stated objectivesConstructs new sales territories in order to facilitate company growthWorks with marketing department to keep sales force informed of new information pertaining to the marketExcellent organizational skills - Must be able to routinely make decisions regarding strategy as it pertains to sales representatives’ territory activityMust be able to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines, and proceduresWhat you needRequired:University degree3+ years of medical device sales experiencePreferred:Post-secondary degree i.e. B.Comm, B.B.A. or B.S. or equivalent with an emphasis in sales leadership or related discipline3+ years of direct sales management experience in medical device - preferably in the cardiac spaceAdditional Information:Must be able to travel (ground and air) to support territory responsibilities as well as company-related duties and obligationsInternal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be consideredMust have a valid driver’s licenseTravel Percentage: 30%
