Ready to bring your best?Overview of the Role or Responsibilities:Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for the facility maintenance, ammonia, compressed air, steam, boilers, water treatment, and effluent treatment plant operations.Schedule: 12-hour continental shift. Days and nights.Salary: $45.60There are salary increases every year.How you will make contributions that matter:
  • Perform all maintenance functions within the Plant, refrigeration and auxiliary equipment, pumps, motors, high pressure steam plant, etc.;
  • Operate all plant refrigeration and heating systems
  • Preventative Maintenance on related equipment;
  • Complete all required documentation (work orders, log books, etc.);
  • Comply with GMP, HACCP, and BRC practices;
  • Comply with TSSA requirements and Operating Engineers act;
  • Other maintenance/duties as required.
You are best suited for the role if you:
  • Minimum Third Class Power Engineering or Class B refrigeration;
  • College/University degree in related field is an asset;
  • Current knowledge in PMP, SOP, HACCP and GMP procedures;
  • Minimum Three years of operating and ammonia plant maintenance experience;
  • Extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing environment, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, service and field operations of various auxiliary equipment – air compressors, water treatment plants, etc.;
  • HVAC knowledge and experience;
  • Power control, electrical and mechanical skills;
  • Familiar PLC, operation and troubleshooting;
  • Familiar with fire suppression and building security system;
  • Must be willing and able to work shift work and across shifts, including weekends;
  • Must be willing to work from heights
  • Proven communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to maintain accurate written records and documentation;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency and dependability in current position.
