To view the French language posting, please click here!GENERAL FUNCTIONEssilorLuxottica Canada is looking for a Facilities Manager for our Project Engineering division, with experience in industrial sectors, to lead various projects across our different facilities in Canada. The position is based in Montreal, but regular site visits are expected.As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, safety, and optimization of all our industrial facilities, ensuring operational continuity and compliance with current regulations.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regularly reviews facilities provision, making recommendations for improvements and contributes to policy-making.
- Leads planning and implementation of major facilities upgrade projects.
- Establishes, monitors, and manages office-related contracts with suppliers and third-party service providers.
- Provides information, necessary documentation, etc. for other departments to assist with office and facilities issues.
- Contributes to disaster recovery planning for office facilities.
- Contributes to training of new staff to ensure they understand how to use the office facilities and the relevant health and safety issues.
- Monitors facilities budget to ensure variances are accounted for.
- May assess health and safety risks, keeps up to date with regulations, and ensures compliance from external contractors.
- May supervise other facilities maintenance and/or administrative staff.
- Leads the provision and administration of office facilities for a medium to large, potentially multi-site organization.
- Typically requires 5 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
- Works within established policies and legal obligations with a certain degree of creativity and flexibility.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
