The Project Manager must determine the best strategy, making full use of the resources allocated for the duration of the projects.Your role :
  • Determine the project strategy: content, scope, resources, time frame, costs, risks, level of quality, communications and training;
  • Assist in budget assessment;
  • Take responsibility for planning and monitoring the cost of assigned projects;
  • Use methodologies and standards approved by the project department;
  • Help plan and assign resources, in cooperation with the program director and unit heads;
  • Take responsibility for project delivery and quality;
  • Monitor project execution;
  • Handle change requests in ongoing projects;
  • Prepare and present progress reports to the project committee and management committee;
  • Coordinate tasks and serve as the interface among the various stakeholders;
  • Ascertain that post-implementation results are satisfactory for the client and the unit head before handover into operational mode;
  • Hand the application, if applicable, over to the IT unit head, customer service and users, including all necessary documentation;
  • Provide unit heads with performance evaluation reports for the resources assigned to the project.
The qualifications we are looking for :
  • University degree in business, information technology or the equivalent;
  • Project Management Certification (strong asset);
  • 10 years’ experience in project management, including 5 years as a designated project manager and 3 years managing cross functional projects;
  • Experience in retail trade and distribution;
  • Experience with a recognized methodology;
  • A track record as an excellent communicator;
  • Ability to make presentations to senior management;
  • Several years’ experience in HR management on matrix-based projects;
  • Fluent spoken and written French and English;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
