- Acting as a key advisor to leadership on employee relations, labour relations, and workplace matters
- Leading and supporting complex investigations, including respectful workplace and harassment concerns
- Guiding managers through performance management, discipline, and conflict resolution
- Interpreting and advising on collective agreements and union-related matters (where applicable)
- Ensuring compliance with employment standards, workplace safety, and HR best practices
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies across clinical and operational teams
- Coaching leaders to strengthen engagement, performance, and team culture
- Contributing to workforce planning and broader organizational initiatives
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within healthcare, long-term care, or seniors living
- Strong background in both labour relations and employee relations
- Proven experience managing sensitive and complex workplace issues
- Solid knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence and partner with leaders across the organization
- CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent designation
- Experience in unionized environments
- Background in retirement living, long-term care, or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
