This role offers the chance to play a meaningful part in helping establish and support Western operations while being backed by the experience, systems, and credibility of a proven organization. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in the field, as it involves regular travel to client locations throughout Alberta, conducting fire protection system audits, inspections, and maintenance activities across multiple sites. You will contribute to critical fire protection initiatives while helping shape how the company operates, grows, and delivers service in a new regional market.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Fire Alarm Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring fire protection systems are compliant, operational, and maintained to required standards. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Fire Protection System Auditing & Inspection:
Conduct routine audits and inspections of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.Identify deficiencies, document findings, and support corrective actions to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintenance & Technical Support:
Perform scheduled maintenance and testing of fire protection systems, ensuring systems remain reliable and fully operational.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address system issues and support ongoing service contracts.
  • Reporting & Coordination:
Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.Support coordination efforts related to service scheduling, follow-ups, and communication with project partners or clients.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance:
Adhere to safety protocols, industry standards, and internal quality guidelines at all times.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements or recurring system concerns.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
  • Education & Experience:
CFAA Registered Technician Designation required5+ years of direct fire alarm inspection, maintenance, service, and/or auditing experience is preferredAll other Technical training and education related to fire protection, mechanical systems, or a similar field will be considered
  • Technical Skills:
Familiarity with fire protection systems such as alarms, sprinklers, and related safety equipment.Ability to read technical documentation, inspection reports, and compliance standards.
  • Key Competencies:
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing responsibilities in a remote or independent work environment.Travel within the Greater Edmonton area is required.
