
Parts Technician 1st Yr Appr

- Leveraging technical knowledge of gas compression, power generation and/or experience in parts management and coordination, source all parts requirements for both internal & external customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Inspect, verify, receive, document and ensure the timely receipt of daily Purchase Orders in SAP.
- Warehouse duties including but not limited to receiving and processing incoming stock and materials.
- Parts deliveries and conduct hotshots to field sites as required.
- Practice strong inventory control procedures and warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Deliver, store, and assist with parts as required.
- Prepare and document products and parts for shipping.
- Arrange shipping for materials orders being shipped to internal branch network & external customers.
- Accurate and timely processing of data on computer system.
- Assist with semi-annual inventory count and regular cycle counts.
- Provide legendary customer service with an emphasis on maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Assist with core returns and production parts.
- Maintain a neat and organized parts and yard area.
- Develop quotes for customers.
- Research and procure parts needed for sale.
- Practice strong inventory management and stock optimization.
- Process orders and provide technical sales to sell additional merchandise.
- Receive and resolve customer concerns.
- Develop, maintain and enhance positive professional relationships with external and internal customers.
- Operate lift truck, pallet jacks and overhead crane.
- Participate in on call rotation.
- Comply with all company Quality, Health and Safety regulations and work procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Enrolled or willingness to enroll in apprenticeship training and gain on the job experience working alongside highly skilled, qualified Journeyman.
- Energetic, self-starter with ability to work in fast paced environment that is deadline driven with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities and generate reports with high attention to detail.
- Class 5 driver's license.
- Working knowledge of Lift Truck operation.
- Knowledge of the gas compression and/or power generation industry an asset.
- Familiar with sourcing “non-stock” material.
- Familiar with MS Office applications, experience in SAP considered an asset.
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively with all branch departments.
- Willingness to work overtime when required and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.).
