The position reports to the National SHEQ Manager and is located in Lively, OntarioResponsibilities:
  • Pull electrical permits, complete work to code, and communicate with electrical inspectors
Create reports for new electrical installs, repairs, and upgrades
Work with high voltage & high current equipment and associated control systems
Design and implement circuit protection, power distribution modules, relays, sensors, and actuators.
Work with inverters, motors, converters, and general electrical components such as contactors, relays, and batteries.
Work with control systems such as PLC, DCS, etc.
Create detailed wiring schematics and diagrams
Mathematical calculations, problem-solving. General system troubleshooting
Programing and trouble shooting PLCs
Arc flash training, calculations, oversight
Welding, machining, fabricating work
Microgrid design, development and oversight
Oversee health and safety in the shopYour profile:EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial electrician experience
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:
  • Valid BC electrical ticket
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Friendly disposition. Work well with geeks, gearheads, and number crunchers
