Our client in the mining and petrochemical industry is seeking a LICENSED MACHINIST to add to their team just 20 minutes North of Barrie, ON.Perks:

+ OT after 8 hrs
shift premiums for afternoon and night shifts ($1.15, $1.40)
3 shift biweekly rotation

The Role:Set up and operate manual machines to precision tolerances for static and petrochemical castings.Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and follow ISO-standard routing instructions.Accurately complete all required documentation, including operator work sheets and quality control forms.Use overhead cranes and material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).Troubleshoot equipment issues and proactively prevent downtime.Fabricate custom jigs and fixtures to support production.Operate a variety of machines including portable bevellers and horizontal boring mills.You Bring:Certificate of Apprenticeship as a Machinist (Red Seal is a strong asset).8+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges).Solid understanding of machining tolerances, surface finishes, and safe material handling.Ability to work independently and meet dimensional, quality, and productivity targets.ERP/SAP familiarity is an asset.Certified Crane Operator or willingness to be trained.
