
Senior Satellite Communications Systems Advisor

- Review, analyze and provide recommendations on space system interface documentation;
- Compose operational space system deficiency and requirements documentation;
- Produce and present concise monthly reports in summary of all technical progress at the stakeholder and vendor/contractor level; and
- Provide technical input to project plans:
- Plans (including test and integration) and drawings; and
- Schedules.
- Review, analyze, and provide recommendation on space system engineering documents, including Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs), Review Item Discrepancies (RIDs), plans, standards, specifications, and related data, to assess their adequacy and suitability;
- Develop test plans for prototypes and full tests;
- Create SOWs related to subjects such as Space, satellite communications, telecommunications, etc.;
- Review, analyze, and provide technical input to SOWs related to subjects such as Space, satellite communications, telecommunications, etc.;
- Provide input to the full life-cycle cost of the proposed Space System;
- Recommend satellite communications level solutions based on an analysis of discrepancies, deficiencies and changes to equipment and specifications;
- Liaise with DND and stakeholder engineering groups to ensure space system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability;
- Provide space system integration and analysis services;
- Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to satellite communications, and associated documentation;
- Conduct design, technical, and management reviews of designs and documents such as schedules, test plans, and programmatic plans delivered to DND to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems ;
- Conduct or oversee space system integration testing and evaluation;
- Manage system test and evaluation plans and present the results to the TA;
- Analyze space system deficiencies and recommend effective solutions;
- Review, analyze and provide recommendations on the suitability of industry documentation;
- Conduct technical definition studies and options analyses of potential scope and plans for space systems.
- An Engineering or Science degree from a recognized Canadian University; or a non-Canadian Engineering or Science degree that must be accredited by one of the following institutions:
