Job Category: Engineering/TechnicalDegree Level: Some High SchoolJob Description:Redpath Raiseboring is seeking motivated high school students to join our engineering department for the summer term. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, controls, and design engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Each student will be paired with a mentor and assigned a defined project to complete over the course of the term, with the opportunity to present their finished work to the engineering team at the end of the summer.Responsibilities:
Work directly with engineers on day-to-day activities across multiple disciplines
Create and modify 3D models and drawings using CAD software
Support prototyping efforts including 3D printing and fabrication
Assist with programming and automation tasks
Contribute to research and development initiatives
Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and project discussions
Complete additional engineering tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed high school (up to and including Grade 12 graduates)
Strong interest in engineering, technology, or skilled trades
Comfortable working with computers and willing to learn new software
Curious, reliable, and eager to contribute in a team environment
Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
Considered an asset:
Exposure to CAD, coding, or electronics through coursework or personal projects
Interest in mechanical systems, manufacturing, or heavy equipment
Enrollment or intent to enroll in a post-secondary STEM program
