
Manufacturing Engineer

- Serve as the subject matter expert on IPC standards for PCB and PCBA fabrication.
- Collaborate with product development and operations teams, providing best-in-class Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidance to successfully transition new, sustainable products into high-volume production.
- Provide technical and manufacturing support for New Product Introduction (NPI) builds.
- Review and support the validaion and implementation of engineering or process changes.
- Provide technical support for PCB/PCBA supplier audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance DFM and manufacturing processes at Hexagon Global sites, PCB suppliers, and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or Manufacturing.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in PCB or PCBA design or manufacturing.
- Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes, along with knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and JSTD-001 standards.
- Robust analytic and formal problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing, including the creation of DFM reports, prototype/pilot build reports, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and experience with Gerber/ODB++ viewers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness and ability to travel globally as needed.
