Winnipeg, MBWe have partnered with our client to hire an experienced programmer in RPG. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications in an IBM i (iSeries, AS/400) environment.As the RPG Developer you will:Work closely with users to review, analyze, design, and test solutions requested.Use IBM i programming tools to create computerized systems following development standards for RPG and CL programs in ILE, printer files, screen and menu design, and database updates.Provide necessary system training and support to users.Create and maintain documentation for program development and training material.Provide second-level support for users.Develop image workflow integration with system development.Develop queries for users.As the successful candidate:You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in RPG programming in IBM OS/400.You have a college-level certificate in computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.You have effective verbal and written communication skills.You have the ability to work individually or in a team environment.Your attention to detail and ability to investigate problems are critical to support project plans and schedules.You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as initiative and creativity.You utilize modern development techniques to achieve an efficient and effective program.Your knowledge in Free-form RPG, workflow, image systems, RDP, and Profound Logic are definite assets.Understanding of the pension industry is an asset.
