- Participate & create activities that improve engagement, belonging, health & safety
- Act as a subject matter expert on people programs, benefits, training, compensation, health and safety, and belonging
- Guide employees through career development using our Career Life Planning Process
- Provide support for disability management and mental health, assisting employees through challenging times
- Culture Ambassador
- Champion Long View's culture through belonging initiatives, and community engagement
- Organize and promote branch social events and community impact activities
- Be adaptable and proactive in supporting branch needs-wearing multiple hats when required
- Branch Leadership Participation
- Actively contribute to branch leadership through weekly meetings, discussions, and decision-making and participate in quarterly offsites, strategy sessions, and help set annual priorities and goals with your leadership team
- Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, and comp annual reviews
- Manage branch communications
- Employee Lifecycle & Talent Management
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, internal moves, promotions, and departures
- Provide leadership to Branch Recruiter and oversee talent management processes, as well review all offer letters
- Support recruitment functions and ensure hiring aligns with business needs
- Prepare documentation, conduct terminations, and coordinate with legal counsel when required
- Support succession planning and internal mobility, including relocations and promotions
- Partner with Recruiting Lead to oversee best practices of recruiting and equitable recruitment
- People Services Leadership Team Participation
- Manage the annual PS Scorecard and collaborate on planning and objectives
- Attend PS leadership meetings, share insights, and contribute to strategy development
- Partner Learning & Development, and Tech Leads to execute strategy and initiatives
- 5+ years' HR experience and at least 1 year in an HR management or leadership role
- Experience developing and presenting training programs and info sessions
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational / time management skills
- Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Post-secondary education and Professional Human Resources designation
