Role: permanent.Quality Control & Continuous Improvement Manager - MontrealPosition PurposeThe primary responsibility of the Quality Control & Continuous Improvement Manager is to find opportunities for quality and/or productivity improvements. This position is a point of contact between quality, production and engineering.Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze data from production and laboratory operations to identify trends.
  • Manage cleaning and extermination contractors.
  • Manage out-of-spec products and perform root cause analysis.
  • Monitor calibrations and adjustments of detectors and measuring instruments.
  • Supervise a laboratory employee.
  • Prioritize personal safety and the safety of employees at all times.
  • Produce monthly reports and track performance indicators.
  • Optimize and standardize machine parameters and adjustments.
  • Manage quality improvement projects.
  • Reduce waste and rejects.
  • Maintain up to date specifications and documentation.
  • Create training materials and train colleagues and employees.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of experience in quality management.
  • 2 years of experience supervising employees.
  • 1 year of project management experience.
  • College or university degree.
  • Good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and OneNote.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and VBA is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards is an asset.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent observation, analytical and synthesis abilities.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn and master new knowledge and software.
  • Team spirit and initiative.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French and English; Spanish is an asset.
