You will play a critical role in using your Angular and .NET skills to design, develop, and maintain the digital banking solutions that power the client experience of our financial institution. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Digital Applications, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable technology solutions that drive business transformation and enhance the experience of our customers.This role is open to hybrid working arrangements within British Columbia.What you’ll do:Software Development
  • Front –End - Design and implement modular, high performance UIs, using Angular, that enhance Beem's modern digital banking offerings, ensuring high standards of reliability, scalability and maintainability.
  • Back-End - Develop and extend robust, secure business services and API’s using C# .NET.
  • Cloud / DevOps - Work within a cloud native environment with containerized applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Quality Assurance - Write automated unit and integration tests to ensure high quality deliverables. Use secure coding practices tailored to our highly regulated environment.
  • Collaboration - Participate as a key member of an agile POD participating in all designated agile ceremonies.
  • Documentation – Produce Technical design documents and commented code that adheres to company coding and documentation standards.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies, development frameworks, and industry trends relevant to financial services.
  • Recommend and implement innovative practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance system capabilities and team efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, and fellow developers, to gather and clarify requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.
What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years post-graduation of hands-on development experience, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
  • Strong proficiency in front end and back-end programming languages with a focus on Typescript, Angular, C#, .NET 10+, SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud native architectures and containerized application environments. (e.g., Containerized, API first, Microservices Architecture, Service Mesh).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and regulated industries specifically the financial industry preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience developing on digital banking platforms is an asset.
