Reporting directly to the President and General Manager, the Glazier Supervisor will play a key leadership role on the plant floor, ensuring daily operations of the glass production line are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards. This is a hands-on supervisory position ideal for a team-oriented professional with deep experience in glazing systems, production scheduling, and continuous improvement.This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on productivity and team development, while contributing to the success of a respected and growing company in the commercial glass and curtain wall industry.Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule plant floor personnel across the glass production line.
- Monitor workflow and ensure that daily production targets, safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently met.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve production non-conformances with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production leadership to support short- and long-term manufacturing goals.
- Train and mentor team members on job duties, safety protocols, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Interpret architectural and shop drawings to guide production accuracy and support technical inquiries.
- Analyze production data and generate reports to support efficiency and quality tracking.
- Use ERP tools, including the Seradax system, to monitor performance and support production planning.
- Act as a key point of contact for technical product questions, both internally and with clients as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in glass manufacturing or glazing system production.
- Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems, glazing standards, and architectural product lines.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a collaborative and hands-on management style.
- Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to lead, train, and engage a diverse team.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings and architectural plans.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Seradax is considered a strong asset.
- Sound knowledge of workplace safety standards, building codes, and ISO compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
