Job Summary & Key ResponsibilitiesThe part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: KINE 3414- Physical Fitness Assessment and Program Design. The course will be offered in the Winter Term, from January 1st, 2027- April 30th, 2027. NOTE: This is an in-person course.The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. The course will be taught using Brightspace (LMS- learning management system) and in-person on the Halifax Campus for the Winter term. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparation in advance of the term. The Part time academic may consider offering office hours outside of class time.
Qualifications/Requirements of PositionGraduate degree in Kinesiology, Health Promotion or Recreation and Leisure Studies with demonstrated teaching ability preferred. CESP certified.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
