The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.The Shop Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day safety and operation of our hauling and construction shop in Yellowknife, NT. The successful candidate should possess strong mechanical knowledge of Class 8 highway tractors, trailing and industrial construction equipment.This position is a working supervisor and will be required to be flexible to work in the office, and on the shop floor.About the position:
  • Supervising and supporting employees. Scheduling work, approving holidays, monitor staffing levels.
  • Control and manage workflow in the shop.
  • Manage standard repair times, prioritize required repairs, and oversee work quality.
  • Responsible for communicating and coordinating any equipment needed in the shop with Operations.
  • Participating in employee relations, such as dispute resolution, discipline, and communications in conjunction with the leadership and human resources.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualification and Skill:
  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician or experience to supplement.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and relevant skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a service driven mindset.
This is a full-time position located in the city of Yellowknife where the successful candidate must reside and or be willing to relocate (support provided).What’s in it for you:
