The team fosters collaboration across people, processes, technology, and data to provide a comprehensive view of the risk landscape and support informed decision-making. Fusion Continuity, Crisis, and Regulatory Reporting (FCCRR) enhances business readiness, protects against business interruption risks, and strengthens regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Senior Director, FCCRR, the Director, Business Continuity Regional Oversight provides strategic leadership for Business Continuity Management in regions outside Canada. The Director identifies emerging risks, ensures regulatory compliance, drives consistency across regions, and acts as a trusted advisor to senior management, supporting resilience and effective risk management across CIBC’s international operations.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How You’ll SucceedGovernance Leadership and Policy Alignment- Lead all governance activities for BCM in international regions, providing specialized consultation and support on business interruption risk. Ensure BCM policies, standards, and guidelines are aligned with enterprise requirements and effectively implemented in each region, considering local regulatory and operational needs.Risk Assessment, Compliance, and Change Management- Oversee risk assessment and mitigation activities, monitors business unit compliance, and contributes to effectiveness reviews for international operations. Manage the identification, assessment, and communication of changes impacting international regions, ensuring timely implementation and ongoing compliance.Stakeholder Engagement and Industry Representation- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional business stakeholders, senior executives, and partners to ensure effective BCM program delivery and continuous improvement. Represent CIBC externally in international forums, maintaining connections with industry peers and influencing the development of professional standards and regulatory environments.Continuous Improvement, Training, and Accountability- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational resilience by enhancing BCM practices, processes, and tools. Promote awareness and training initiatives, ensuring all team members and business unit coordinators are equipped for their roles. Ensure compliance with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls, fostering accountability and resilience.Who you areClear and Impactful Communication- You have strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely present information to groups and individuals at all levels in the organization.
