- Supervising and mentoring a team of environmental professionals and technical staff.
- Providing leadership with a focus on collaboration and instill a culture of diversity, inclusion and equality.
- Maximizing group utilization, while also ensuring a healthy work-life balance by coordinating resources across the team.
- Understanding client objectives, technical protocols, guidelines and regulations that apply to the work/projects conducted and the rationale/developmental framework behind them.
- Acting as a direct interface between clients and the AtkinsRéalis project team, stakeholders including First Nations and/or regulatory bodies, as appropriate.
- Senior level project management, including technical program development, management of personnel and resources, oversight of budgets and schedules for deliverables, implementing quality assurance reviews, and ensuring client objectives are met.
- Growing the group revenue from existing client relationships, developing new business and/or expanding lines of business.
- Identifying project quality/project profitability risks and liabilities and developing strategies to minimize them.
- Ensuring proper implementation and continued use of quality assurance programs and corporate policies and procedures, including Ethics and Compliance.

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Sciences and having a professional designation in BC would be considered an asset.
- More than 12 years of practical environmental consulting experience and at least 5 years managing environmental staff
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and mentor technical and professional staff at different levels of career development.
- A technical expertise in the mining sector would be considered an asset. Specifically related to abandoned mine sites, remediation, and mine closure.
- Solid knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal environmental standards, regulations and guidelines as they apply to environmental investigation and remediation projects in British Columbia (and other parts of Canada).
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage time and multiple deliverables accordingly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven technical writing skills and proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking.
- Commitment to excellence with a focus on quality management.
