In this role, you will have the opportunity to work at our Milton and Oakville sites supporting a variety of patient populations in their recovery and preparing them for a safe discharge and successful reintegration into the community.As a casual member of our team you will be required to: provide a minimum availability of one weekday shift per pay period and two weekends in an eight week schedule.QualificationsHalton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.
  • Graduate of combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
  • At least one year experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Demonstrated excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological and geriatric caseload
  • GPA an asset
  • Shows initiative, flexibility and enjoys working with an interprofessional team
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of a moderately heavy job
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Satisfactory attendance and employment record
The ideal candidate is strong in patient centred care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation.
