Job Title: Data Center Network Architect
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Duration: 6 MonthsIntroductionThe ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience with a Financial Services Firm, Technology vendor, or systems integrator designing and implementing large-scale networks. Strong experience and hands-on expertise in Data Center Networking (Routing and Switching), SD WAN is mandatory with Cisco certification- CCIE.Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Senior in Network design engineering with more than 12-15 years' experience
  • Certifications: CCIE or equivalent
  • Ethernet technologies: SPT, 802.1Q, VPC, Multilayer Switching; Leaf-Spine IP Fabric
  • IP Routing: RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, TCP/IP
  • Multicast routing: PIM, IGMP, MSDP. VxLAN
  • Platform knowledge on Cisco Switching & Routing Platforms - Nexus 9000 Series Data Centre Switching Platform, ASR 1000x Series Routers, ASR 9000 Series Routers
  • Platform Knowledge on Arista Switching platforms
  • Working knowledge on various Network Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XR, Arista EOS
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong security focus and experience with Network Security Concepts and Multi-tier Security architectures
  • Strong presentation skills to explain network design, articulate risk, and facilitate decision-making
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Evaluating, engineering, designing, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale Data Centre networks
  • Authoring design documents, engineering standards, and creating best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends
  • Mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization
  • Participating in weekly design meetings
  • Engaging with project managers to develop the execution and test plans for network changes
  • Serving as an escalation point for the operating teams during network outages
