- Lead and oversee Integrated Construction Technology (ICT) and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) delivery for district projects, ensuring alignment with construction needs and project objectives.
- Establish, manage, and govern digital delivery workflows, including model coordination, data exchange, and integrated construction processes.
- Act as a liaison between design teams, trade partners, and construction teams, ensuring alignment and coordinated delivery.
- Partner with estimating and project teams to define ICT/VDC scope, staffing plans, and budgets for pursuits and active projects.
- Participate in project pursuits, interviews, and proposals, contributing to ICT/VDC narratives, presentations, and delivery strategies.
- Develop and implement BIM / ICT execution plans, including coordination strategy, modeling standards, and technology governance.
- Leverages construction models and model data to enhance field and office use, supporting estimating, quantity take off, scheduling, progress tracking, and project status reporting across the project lifecycle.
- Conditions and enriches construction models and model data for construction use, standardizing parameters, classifications, and data structure so models can be reliably used for field planning and delivery.
- Lead and support ICT and VDC requirements through project closeout, ensuring contractual and operational obligations are met.
- Manage ICT resource planning and allocation across district projects.
- Identify opportunities to leverage integrated construction technology to mitigate project risk and improve delivery certainty.
- Research, evaluate, and pilot new and emerging construction technologies, sharing learnings and driving adoption across the district.
- Develop and deliver ICT training, communication, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Post secondary degree, diploma, or two year certificate in a buildings industry related discipline (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Construction, AEC, Civil, or Architectural Technology).
- 5-7 years of construction related experience, including 2-3 years of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) / construction technology experience.
- Expert understanding of construction sequencing and how digital delivery supports field execution.
- Advanced understanding of and proven experience implementing construction technology, including responsibility for adoption and execution at the project and district level.
- Proven ability to provide project level model management and manage VDC standards across multiple projects.
- Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling platforms and experience supporting 4D scheduling and planning tools.
- Experience coordinating and validating models against Level of Development (LOD) and accuracy requirements.
- Strong understanding of ICT, BIM, and VDC related contract language and its impact on project risk and delivery.
- Strong ability to liaise with scheduling, survey, lean, and other project functions to define technology integration requirements.
- Proven ability to establish data management and data sharing protocols across project teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and present ideas that support project and district strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, manage competing priorities, and delegate effectively.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities across projects.
- Strong willingness and ability to self learn and stay current with evolving construction technology.
