In this role, you will guide electricians, technicians, and engineers through practical, real-world learning experiences while helping shape the standards of tomorrow’s electrical workforce. Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on technical training for electricians, technicians, and engineers across multiple training sites.
- Instruct learners on high-voltage systems, switchgear testing and maintenance, renewable energy systems, and substation operations.
- Design, develop, and continuously improve training curricula and learning materials aligned with industry standards and adult learning best practices.
- Champion electrical safety excellence, incorporating leading standards such as Arc Flash protection and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Mentor and coach learners to ensure strong technical competency, confidence, and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, fellow trainers, and industry partners to strengthen training programs and outcomes.
- Travel to training locations to support national programs and ensure consistent learning delivery.
- 7–10+ years of industry experience as an industrial electrician, high-voltage technician, or electrical engineer.
- 3–5 years of training, coaching, or mentorship experience, formally or informally developing others in the field.
- Deep hands-on expertise in high-voltage systems, switchgear, substations, and renewable energy systems.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a genuine passion for teaching and knowledge transfer.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Electrical Engineering degree, Electrical Technologist diploma, or Journeyperson Electrician certification
- Professional trainer or instructional certification
- Arc Flash or electrical safety instructor qualifications
