Job #5014 - Join the head office of a publicly traded organization in this full-time, permanent Payroll Accountant role and take the next step in your career! Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring the semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees is processed accurately and on schedule. This role requires a high level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability, as well as strong interpersonal skills to effectively support colleagues in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism is essential. Main responsibilities include:

Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for 150+ employees
Maintain payroll systems and ensure data accuracy and compliance
Manage statutory filings and year-end reporting requirements
Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Support employee benefits administration
Prepare payroll reports and support audits and financial reporting
Collaborate with finance teams on reconciliations and month-end activities

Completed PCP designation is considered an asset but not required
Background in accounting, business or finance
Minimum 3+ years of experience in processing end-to-end payroll
Good understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and employment standards
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with ADP is considered an asset
