Headquartered in a prominent offshore financial hub, the organization is led by a seasoned management team with a steadfast commitment to underwriting discipline and holds top-tier financial strength ratings from major international credit agencies.The Reinsurance Accountant will assume responsibility for all aspects of accounting for assigned reinsurance contracts and will report into the AVP, Reinsurance Operations.Key responsibilities:
Verifying underwriting data, maintaining premium information, and bordereau reporting
Monitoring accounts receivables and liaising with brokers and internal departments
Completing monthly closes and investigating movements for senior management calls
Participating in systems enhancements
What you'll need
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a reinsurance company
Strong experience reading and interpreting reinsurance contracts
Understanding of accounting for quota share and excess of loss contracts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI is advantageous
