- Utilizing CAD software to create and prepare technical drawings for our bridge, roadway and aviation projects that best represent project requirements from concept to detailed design to record.
- Modifying and revising existing drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers or other team members.
- Working closely with colleagues to understand and ensure compliance of drafting standards.
- Preparing and exporting drawings and models in various formats for project submissions.
- Organizing and managing a variety of CAD files, ensuring that drawings and models are accessible to other team members.
- A diploma in civil engineering, or engineering design and drafting, from an accredited technical institution.
- 8+ years of experience in bridge design and drafting (steel, concrete, timber structures).
- Experience with Alberta Transportation Engineering drafting guidelines for highway and bridge projects is an asset
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with Revit, Sketchup or other 3D modelling software is an asset.
- Consulting experience is an asset.
- Registered, or eligible or registration with ASET.
