We are seeking an Estimator to join a high-performing team based in Richmond, BC. This is an urgent hire, with the opportunity to onboard alongside another new team member.You will play a key role in developing accurate, detailed cost estimates for complex projects ranging from $100K to $1M+, often working with evolving or conceptual designs.This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can apply both technical and commercial thinking. A strong team player who will integrate well into a small, collaborative team.Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed cost estimates for complex engineered projects
Build estimates from the ground up, including Bills of Materials and take-offs
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents for completeness
Prepare RFQs and obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing
Collaborate with engineering, design, and internal stakeholders
Conduct cost analysis, gap analysis, and root cause investigations
Produce clear documentation outlining scope, assumptions, and risks
Review and validate estimates prepared by team members
Support process improvements and best practices

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or engineered products environments
Exposure to custom, project-based work is highly valued
5+ years of estimating experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering/construction drawings
Advanced Excel skills; Power BI / Power Apps considered an asset
Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000
Annual bonus potential (working on a structured plan)
