Preparing quantity take-offs based on preliminary and construction drawings
Generating project staffing plans and general expense estimates
Creating schedules based on room data sheets
Participating in design meetings, both in-town and out-of-town
Holding meetings with subcontractors
Conducting scope reviews and creating subcontractor tender packages
Soliciting subcontractor and supplier information and pricing
Analyzing design options and product alternates from both a capital expense and a Life Cycle cost perspective
Preparing risk registries for projects
Attending collaborative meetings and user group meetings with Owners and Consultants
Reviewing design specifications for bid compliance
Actively participating in the industry, client and community relations to enhance company image
Promoting and practicing company values in a creative, innovative, and enjoyable work environment
Maintaining and fostering positive long-term relationships with all business partners, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

The Requirements

3+ years of estimating experience and experience in ICI estimating
A degree of diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent construction program
Eligible for or having attained PQS, CET or P. Eng designation
Proficiency with On-Screen Take-Off, SmartBid, MS Project and Excel
