Agathe canola processing facility. This hands‑on position supports rail operations by positioning railcars, loading product, monitoring equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation. Through a strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and operational reliability, the Rail Load‑Out Assistant helps ensure food safety standards are met while supporting production and shipment goals that connect local operations to global supply chains.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform railcar movement and load product into railcars, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Operate mobile and fixed equipment safely, including shuttle wagon, loader, skid steer, bobcat, and other required equipment.
  • Monitor conveyors, bins, and legs, adjusting levels and motors on the loading and unloading control systems as required.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records to support food safety audits and generate shift and loading reports.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and groundskeeping, including maintaining rail tracks and surrounding work areas in a clean, safe condition.
  • Support plant safety and food safety practices by following established procedures and reporting issues promptly.
  • Perform other duties as required to support safe, efficient rail and facility operations.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience working in a rail yard or similar industrial environment is considered an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn hands‑on operational tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
  • Physical ability to work long shifts and safely perform required duties.
